Biography[]

Intimidating, ruthless and unforgiving, Jayla Gabriel is the muscle behind the mercenary group of former Ghosts known as the Phantoms. Many a cocksure man has underestimated her; most have not lived to tell the tale. A stone-cold killer, Jayla always has the last word in an argument, which is where her call sign, Coda, comes from.

Jayla lives for the thrill of dangerous missions. Elite Squad is the perfect opportunity for her to cut loose and not give a damn about the consequences. She’s more than happy to rack up a body count for the good guys as long as that Presidential pardon comes through at the end.

  • Coda used to have a leader ability called Protector. Once activated, it granted +15% RESISTANCE to Phantoms, Sniper or LMG soldiers.
  • Coda was the main antagonist of the game's original story. She was also a member of Umbra and was killed at the game's conclusion. This did not occur in the revamped version of the game's story.
