Lera "Finka" Melnikova (Belarusian: Лера «Фінка» Мельнікава, Liera «Finka» Mieĺnikava/Russian: Лера «Финка» Мельникова, Lera «Finka» Melʹnikova) is a member of Rainbow and is a character featured in Tom Clancy's Elite Squad.
Biography[]
A Spetznaz operator with an extreme tolerance for pain, quick reflexes, and a resistance to high-stress operations, Lera Melnikova inspires strength in her fellow teammates. She was born in Gomel, Belarus three years after the Chernobyl disaster, and at nine was diagnosed with degenerating neuromuscular disorders. Determined to find a cure for both herself and others like her, Melnikova achieved a PhD in Molecular Biology. Recruited by Russian FSB to protect special forces teams against hazardous materials, she has since become the go-to biological warfare expert in CTU joint exercises.
Melnikova is living proof that you're never stuck with the hand that life deals you. Her nanobots have saved the lives of both her teammates and perfect strangers alike. Now, by joining Elite Squad, Melnikova hopes to have a greater impact still.
